Saccharomycotina ML phylogeny. Cephaloascus albidus corresponds to Cepal1_1. Outgroup: Aspergillus nidulans (Aspnid1)

Cephaloascus albidus is a member of the Cephaloascaceae and was sequenced for comparative purposes as part of the 1000 fungal genomes project. Both phylogenetic clustering and the Cephaloascaceae CUG-tRNA structure suggest that these display altered CUG codon usage, and therefore amino acid sequences were translated using the yeast alternative nuclear translation table (translation table 12)
